-
A trained support person who provides emotional, physical, and evidence-based guidance to families after the birth of a baby. My role is to nurture you, support your recovery, and help you feel confident as you adjust to life with your newborn.
-
It’s recommended to book during the second trimester to ensure availability, but it’s never too late to reach out. I do my best to accommodate last-minute or immediate postpartum needs whenever possible.
-
While support from loved ones can be incredibly meaningful, a postpartum doula offers trained, unbiased, and evidence-based care. My role is to support your recovery, your choices, and your confidence without judgment or expectation.
Unlike a night nanny, my care is family-centered, blending newborn care with emotional support, education, and guidance. My role not only to care for your baby, but to nurture and empower your whole family as you transition into this new chapter.
-
A postpartum doula does not replace your healthcare provider, and is not a nanny or a housekeeper. I also don’t take over your home or parenting decisions. Instead, I offer guidance, education, and support so you feel empowered and confident in caring for your baby and yourself.
-
I support all families, always! First-time parents, experienced parents, single parents, LGBTQ+ families, adoptive families, and more. My care is always inclusive, respectful, and tailored to your unique experience.
-
Care would shift from the primary focus being on the birthing person to being focused more on the whole family. This can look like newborn care, sleep and feeding guidance, meal preparation, sibling care, light housekeeping, nursery organization, etc.
Many families in these scenarios choose overnight care to allow for both parents to get a full nights sleep.
-
Each visit is unique and personalized to meet your needs as you move through the days and weeks of postpartum. This may include newborn care, feeding support, emotional support, light household tasks, taking care of baby and/or siblings while you rest or shower, cooking nutritious snacks and meals, grocery pickup, or simply holding space for you to talk while I listen. We’ll flow with what feels most supportive for you that day. Find more details for sample schedules on the Daytime Support and Overnight Support pages.
-
Yes. Overnight care allows you to get deeper, more restorative rest while I care for your baby and quietly reset your home. I handle feedings (or bring baby to you), diaper changes, newborn sleep guidance and soothing, quiet tidying and meal prep.
-
I provide evidence-based, non-judgmental support for breast, bottle, or combination feeding. My goal is to support your feeding choices and help you feel confident and informed.
I offer guidance, tips and tricks, and general troubleshooting, but will refer you to a local IBCLC or pediatrician for consistent or bigger issues that go beyond the normal learning curve of feeding a new baby.
-
Yes, in a gentle and developmentally appropriate way. I support families in understanding newborn sleep, recognizing cues, and building rhythms without rigid schedules or “cry-it-out” methods.
During the first 3-4 months of a baby’s life, it’s less about “sleep training” and more about maintaining a calm environment and keeping them full and comfortable to help them slowly begin to develop their circadian rhythms.
-
